Thes sprouted seeds taste mildly nutty. Alfalfa is known as Queen Sprout because like all legumes, it’s rich in protein.
How to grow:
Sow sprouting seeds in a shallow dish, jar or special sprouting equipment.
Problem solving:
A sunlit windowcill and keeping equipment clean between sprouts.
Favourite ways to use them:
Don’t harvet this sprout before 7th day of germination.
Best eaten raw to preserve the enzymes, so great in salads, sandwiches even smoothies. You can lightly stir fry them or add to soups or casseroles.
Average seed weight: approx. 446 seeds per gram.
