Flax seeds

Flax seeds. Linum usitatissimum. 20 varieties of flax traditionally used in the Irish flax industry. We have18 blue flowered and 2 white.
These varieties are banked in the THS seed bank and were donated by AFBI in 2017. In 2021 we grew out all 20, spread across the farm to avoid cross pollination. Pollination rarely occurs because the flowers are closed.
