Description
Organic Celeriac: Roem van Zwijndrecht. Apium graveolens var. rapaceum.
A smaller celeriac at a diameter of aout 10cms with white flesh, great tasting. Stores well.
How to grow:
Surface sow in Feb/March on heat in seed trays, prick out as they get first true leaves into modules. Bring on until they’re big enough to go outside in May/June. Keep root ball at the surface when replanting. Plant in a rich soil about 45cms apart. Matures late October, best to left before the first frosts.
Problem solving:
Keep slugs off when young.
Favourite ways to eat them:
Cubed into stews and soups. Grated into salads. Great roasted. Perfect as 50:50 with potato in mash.

A variety of celery cultivated for its edible stem – that we call the globe shaped root.
Avg contents: 250 seeds.
