Lathyrus pratensis, Meadow vetchling. Weakly erect perennial. Clusters of bright yellow flowers on long stalks which stick up into the sunshine in your meadow.

Benefits:
Great for bees of all kinds and fixes nitrogen into the soil. An arable edible, has been sown as a fodder crop or as a green manure. This is the host plant for the Wood white butterfly.

Habitat:
Also known as meadow pea, it’s happy in your meadow or other grassy places.

Sowing guidelines:
Sow from late autumn to early spring in trays or modules, prick out into modules, then plant out when large enough.
